Monthly Meetings

 Monthly meetings...
Check below for the meetings planned for your area.

  • Barrow:
  • Third Thursday of the month 10 – 12.  Normally meet at the Multicultural Forum 14 Duke Street. These meetings are primarily a drop–in once a month for everyone to meet together in a relaxed way, catch up, meet new faces, and share refreshments.  Children are welcome. Sometimes our meeting includes some event, or a speaker on a relevant topic, a training input, or sometimes just a chance for a head massage or a chat together.  If the subject of a conversation strikes a chord this can lead to deeper levels of discussion and sometimes an event is suggested which relates to the concerns raised.  In the past, subjects such as lack of confidence, loneliness, worries about children, women’s safety, visas preventing recourse to public funds, have all resulted in significant follow-up discussion.
